I always use oil for my nails and I have a few oil pens. I really like this one because it helps tint my blue-esk hands and makes them look a lil more healthy. I love the lipstick smell as well. Like an old mac lip.
I have a few problems though...
It clogs alllllll the time. I shake and shake and I still can't get a small amount of oil.
It's either a dry brush or exploding with pigment.
I don't know what kind of fix there would be? Maybe a finer pigment so it won't clog? Or less of it?
It's a lil wasteful because it keeps exploding with too much product. (I twist it 2 times max. ) and it pools in the cap when I'm not using it.
I have other oil pens and they work just fine. Just this one that has clogging problems. (My other oil pens also lasted longer..)
I bought this not too long ago and I'm below half in the pen. (Just from wasting and exploding. )
Fun idea!!! Maybe some tweaks are needed? Love the color it leaves.
Side note: The pigment is not consistent. (Even after the shaking. ) Sometimes I'll get a light amount with the oil or SO MUCH that it's staining A LOT more than just my nails..
I am unsure if I would buy this oil pen again.
I think I had to crank this thing between 20 to 30 times to get it to finally dispense. It ALMOST made a big mess but luckily for me it was quickly caught and contained in my hand. Make sure to open this stuff over a paper towel and in a sink. I like that it's added a lot of color back to my fingertips because I know my fingertips sometimes turn blue from a lack of circulation, so this is a nice opposite to my hands. Sorry for my nails being jacked up. I do a lot of hard work and it chips and breaks my real and gel nails off daily but I really needed this oil to help since my nails are getting brittle from the chemicals and power tools. One thing I can't say about it is that I do like that the cuticle oil is very good at penetrating and also not as thick and globby as ones I've gotten elsewhere. It's far more lightweight which makes it easier to absorb.
Personally, I was a little nervous to get a blood colored nail oil, but once i put it on I absolutely loved it! The color isn’t too noticeable and once you rub it in the pigment goes away but still leaves a cute flushed color. It also has a slight scent to it (kinda citrusy). I would highly recommend!
Got this since I have an issue picking my skin, this is helping me because a. Makes it feel more costly to do it and b. Moistures it more so I feel less of a need
I love this, it looks sick and it feels great for my cuticles. 10/10, accidentally scared my coworkers.
