Who is Sushy?

Hey! My name is Susana Guillen, I am 25-years-old, and a mother to two little ones! I am quite shy at first, but an open book once you get to know me. TAKIS ARE MY LIFE!

I started my own cosmetic brand because I always wanted to be my own boss. I have two main reasons why I decided to chase my dream: my little ones, and wanting to express my creative mind.

Ever since I was young, I was never confident in myself with anything except with one thing, my love for fantasy! It all started when I first played my childhood favorite video game, The Legend Of Zelda.

That masterpiece of a game helped me unleash a very creative mind over the years of growing up. During the course of that time, I also began to fall in love makeup. It took me 6 years to master makeup, with a lot of trial and error.

Because I was never interested in going to college and always dreamed of someday having a business of my own, I asked myself: why not mix the two things I love the most in the world and create a brand off of it?

That was the moment SushyGlowCosmetics was born. I will never forget this about myself, even though I lacked confidence, It still didn't stop me from starting something I dreamt about for a very long time.

Let us tell you the story...

What began as a dream

I was 19 years old when I came up with the idea of starting a cosmetics company. As a new mother I was inspired and driven by my desire to provide for my small family. As I continued to improve my marketing and business skills, sales slowly but surely kept improving. Eventually, my videos began to go viral and sales increased. I moved out of my room and into a bigger office space shortly after.

The Bloody Tints

In October of 2022, the famous Bloody Tints were "born" and it changed my life for the better, leading to reviews from Laura Lee and Manny MUA, as well as a purchase from Kat Von D.

Our first Warehouse

In May of 2024, SushyGlow moved into its first warehouse location in Grayslake as it continued to grow. A year later, the unit next door was rented out and shipping stayed on one side, and production on the other.

Our first event

In August of 2025, the Bloody Tints got a revamp in their packaging. We hosted its first launch party that brought people from all over the world to celebrate in Chicago. The SushyGlow team did an absolutely astounding job bringing the event to life.

Where we are today

In 2026, we were able to move to an entirely new commercial space where all of our departments will be able to be together again. We are so grateful that you are here with us! Our team now consists of over 15 employees and hope to continue growing with you in a welcoming environment. As we continue to grow, we also hope that this story inspires you to continue being your best self in and outside of work!
