I am olive (my perfect shade is 190 from Haus Labs when pale, 260 when tanned) and this red does not turn *ON ME* orange nor pink, which is my most common problem! For example, I own Bella Swan (sparkle) and it is VERY orange me l, where as I also own Ripped Guts and is like a cool-pinkish purple ish red on me (but not like Twilight Princess). Velvet Thorns stays red, and not a vibrant red but also not a very deep red, just…perfect red!
Over the past two years I’ve bought 3 of these shades (Lilith, Bella Swan, and Bleeding Crystal) and I love all of them. I mostly wear them under my other lipsticks as a base and then as my lipstick fades the color from the stain sticks around. I have pale olive skin with warm undertones and while all three shades look great.
Love the formula after it dries but it's very runny. Will stain teeth if not careful. The color is great and loved that the color lasts a very long time, but the smell was a bit off putting. I'd buy again, but keep your mouth closed when applying and let it dry COMPLETELY
Love the formula texture, no bad smell, and the color is gorgeous on dark skin. The glitter lasts such a long time too. Just remember to close your mouth while it dries cuz its a lil bit runny 😅
I recently bought another lip stain in the color, Velvet Thorns. I have bought the 12 ml size of Twilight Princess before the bottle switch and I absolutely love it. I've yet to make a real dent on it if I'm being honest. Though I love the new bottle and applicator. It's long enough for me to be able to adjust my grip on it while I'm applying it and be able to get all of my lip without getting outside the lines. Velvet Thorns is a very pretty color, although it looks more orange when I put it on, it does dry down to a dark cherry red. It is a blue red stain just like I like though when it wears off over the day through eating and drinking, the stain left after leans a bit more slightly brown orange. Though I usually just pair it with a lip gloss to get it to turn into a color I like. As for Twilight Princess, it wears off from a dark purple to a really pink stain. The stains have great pigments and last a long while.
